And motorbikes can also be used as local packers-and-movers :)

Then Moorti suggested us to visit Kanchipooram temple on our way and we nodded YES and I am glad that we did.. :)

Kanchipooram is famous for silk and hence we chose to do some shopping.. first they shown us how they do weaving of sarees, shawls and other dress materials..

And they started displaying them.. :)

GOA to BANGALORE :: Day 1 Goodbye to Goa & enter Karnataka && Day2 - Reach Bangalore :)

Its being long long time I have not updated my doings and many things have happened since then.. Actually I took a vacation in my this long vacation... :) Attended friend's marriage in New Delhi, drove from Goa to Bangalore, took 15 days break to company my friends from Norway, attended my Niece's 1st birthday party in Indore, see-off Norwegians in Mumbai and finally back to Bangalore and time to move ahead,,

Targets for the day -> Take flight to Goa from New Delhi:: Pack bags & leave Goa by 1600 hrs and enter Karnataka:: must reach Hubli (180km) so that next day I will be travelling 450km to reach Bangalore and that too on 4 lane & 6 lane highway - actually Golden Rectangle.. :)

So time to say Goodbye to the pals in GOA.. many thanks to Shashi and Abijit :)

Effigy of Mahatma Gandhi in Old Goa..

Kids commuting over water-pipeline to reach point B from A..

Since the lights are getting dim hence I need to speed to cover the Mountain range or else its dangerous to ride with no street lights, bumpy roads and running stray animals on the roads..

Greenary all around and there is a different level of purity in the air of mountains and hills with the blend of freshness.. :)

Finally, I crossed the border of GOA and entered Karnataka :) Yuhoo :)

My first impression of Karnataka roads was very bad.. I was really pissed to ride over it and was just wishing to touch Golden Rectangle to get better roads.. Damn bumpy roads.. :(

But I managed to reach a small place called Navagrah Teerth, 8km away from Hubli ,, It is a JAIN DHARAMSHALA (Jain is a religion & Dharamshala is a religious place to stay for commuters and believers)

After having a morning walk in the nearby religious vicinity I chose to start my bike :) And the journey begins.. awesome roads and endless Tolls on the way but 2 wheelers have the luxury of not paying anywhere.. :)

On my way came HARIHAR - the place where my dad's another office is established.. I think he will be glad to see this picture.. :)

Locals taking bath, washing clothes and animals, fishing and just chilling out..

Wet lands......

And the view of rock mountains...

And then the coconut trees all around... really scenic..

Long time but not unusual to see accident scenes on the way..

And finalllllyyyyyy I reached Bangalore.. Agendas to achieve - meet my dearest Priya, meet the Norwegians :) and leave for my trip to Andamans :P
