Day 16, 17 :: Mumbai: Day 18,19 :: On roads to Goa :)

Shit Happened and my pen-drive where I saved the pictures of my journey from Pune to Mumbai and during Mumbai time got lost - :( Wellll no worries :)

So it was the day to move on from Pune to Mumbai .. Said goodbye to my friends and then have to met my cousins before leaving Pune - finally time to move on to famous Mumbai Pune highway... although I consider that the highways that I have seen till now in my journey were far much better - firstly the road quality and secondly it was rare to see the people following the lane-rules.. Well - I reached Mumbai and chose to stay at my friend Raju's place during my time there..

And then it was time to meet my pals from Norway - Erik and Havard .. :-) that was actually
 the major intention of coming to Mumbai to keep up the promise and endelig (finally) its been realised that the world is really not so BIG.. we all can meet somewhere .. anywhere.. it just required to have a heart full of wishes.. and Yes - I was really to meet them.. :)

Then next day it was time to leave Mumbai for Goa but that I can not cover in one stretch since it was around 600 km from Mumbai and since I left late afternoon so I made a small target of travelling 150km for that day and 450km for next day.. and from Panvel (exterior of Mumbai) it starts the beautiful Konkan Line - absolute greenary and yummy food., :) scenic till Goa.. :)

Sooooo - I came down from my friends apartment and was sooooo upset to see the Bird Shit on the seat of my Bike - wellllll as the holy word is - SHIT HAPPENED.. and Yes today it actually happened.. :(

And this free bird Anuj flew on his bike all the way to cross the heavy traffic of Mumbai and reached Panvel and then it was the start of Konkan lines.. woooofff!!! Mesmerising experience of beauty,, as smooth as Scotch on the Rocks.. :)

And in the evening the beauty multiplied by many folds and some scenic views which still flashes in front of my eyes.. :)

That night I stayed in a lodge (a small hotel) at a place called Mangaon and next day at 0830 in morning - it was time to move on to GOAAAAAAAAAA.. 450km ride in a stretch.. :)

This kid is taking bath under hand-pump ,, its a usual resource of water in rurals of India.. :)

And found this historical homes of our ancestors - all carved in mountains.. impressive but didnt have much time to go in and explore so I skipped this :P

Now comes a place on the way which without exploration would made me regret in my further trip soooo I decided to go to Raigad Fort - fort of great Shivaji... most praised ruler of Maharastra till date and very much appreciated and remembered by people of Maharastra.. :)

It was all hilly roads and I found this guy taking this big bunch of Hay on his head all the way from bottom to top.. trust me - its really hardworking and what he might have got in return would be surely peanuts.. :(

On the top of this hill is the Grand Fort..

And its more than 1000 steps to reach there but I was too lazy so I decided to take Rope-way.. :)

And finally I reached on the top and took the guide to tell me about this famous place and also about Shivaji and he has done his job pretty nicely.. :)

then it was time to get-down and now with no stops I must go to GOAAAAA.. :)

Found this interesting shop.. it says TADI MADI VIKRI KENDRA.. TADI MADI is the name of drink and VIKRI KENDRA means place of selling it.. its a kind of alcoholic drink and very natural .. google it more to tell you about it..

And the scenic beauty again.. :)

 

Unnecessary grasses are usually

Found the ships made on the roadside ,, total 6 ships were in construction and 6 7 people on each boat.. :)

Terrrestrial farming - this time its not crops but trees.. :)

This was painful to see..

And late evening I reached GOAAAAAAAAAAA.. :)

And the best parttttt was cheapppp petrol and beeeeer :) :) actually Petrol cost in rest of the country is 75 rupees as of now.. :(

 

 



 

From next day I will be just and just in Goa moood.. tooooo late for tonight and also toooo much of driving soooo I slept in peace at  my cousin's friend's  place and now they are my friends aswell.. :) :)
