Himachal Pradesh 1 :: Delhi to Chandigarh & then to Solan

I made my mind to resume back my journey whose craving was there in me all the time when I was away from my bike,, I reached New Delhi and then with no other thoughts and almost no plans I decided to explore some place which fulfill my thirst which I bored in my heart.. and I chose to come to Himachal Pradesh :) This state of India is actually compilation of endless valleys, scenic views, snow on the high mountains and simplicity in all aspects.. :) The route I chose to enter this state was - New Delhi, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Chandigarh and Solan (one of the big cities in Himachal Pradesh or HP)

Chandigarh is a Union Territory which is capital of 2 states - Haryana and Punjab., and yes I am agreed that it is one of the most organized cities in India.. Entire city is divided into sectors and also it abides with disciplines..

I washed my dusty bike, checked the air in tyres and get the tanked to full.. I was happy and thrilled and chose to wear a Perfectly Happy t-shirt :-P

It took me more than an hour to come out of New Delhi and then I was on highway to Chandigarh..

Glad to see that nothing has been changed till I last drove on highways.. animal carts are still very common..

I entered in State of Haryana

I observed that the farms were pretty green and flourished with crops..

And nothing could be better than seeing the farms of Sunflowers which were coming quite often on my route.. :)

Who says that God drives the world?? Not always.. ;) We humans drive them more often to places and believe even the Gods have to wait in traffic jams - no special treatments.. Oops! :) :)

Tired and well excited to reach my destination for that day.. and cant even hold my camera properly .. but you can make out that I am welcomes to "The City Beautiful" Chandigarhhhhh.. :)

Sector 45 is the place where I stayed.. The cheapest of all other sectors and also pretty Shabby.. but I managed to find a good room in a not-so-bad hotel and crashed on my bed..

Then I woke up early at 6.00 and thought of exploring the city .. the only destination I was more thrilled of was - Sukhna Lake

People feed birds and the silence in the surrounding is just what you can not expect from any other city in India..

Many joggers were doing their routine and I was just in my floaters holding my camera and behaving like a damn tourist :-/ who cares! :P

And then it was to come back to room - pack my bags - and get into Himachal Pradesh :)

I was desperate to see mountains,, and this was my first view of those.. none can understand that thrill and that smile which was constantly hanging on my face.. :)

And this was the last place where I was experiencing long straight road .. Himachal is about to start and I was knowing that it is all valleys that I will be driving through and I cant have my speed more than 40 kmph.. This could be only enfield that can give you that feeling of leisure even when you are driving slow.. I and my machine suited up for rock and roll.. :)

Finally I was welcomed by the Solan city gates and I have my uncle and aunt staying here.. :)

My dear - Singh Uncle & Aunty.. :) They offered me fresh fruits of the valley and also I wasnt knowing before that SOLAN is the "Mushroom city of India" :) :) and being foodie I requested Aunty to prepare one of her Mushroom delicacies of spoiled boy - ME :)

It was nice evening with them., and next day I chose to leave Solan and wished to go to Manali but changed my plan later to go to Shimla :P Well changing plans can ever be so frequent that I have never known before my trip.. I was experiencing Uncertainity and Randomness across my journey.. and one of it I had experienced soon after leaving the home was - My bike tyre got punctured.. :( Its happened first time and I was lucky that the mechanic shop wasnt so far.,

I got it fixed and was all set to explore more of Himachal Pradesh.. it was just a beginning :)

Rest of my experiences are captured in other parts of my this post.. soooo keeeeep reading!! :)
