Himachal Pradesh 2 : Shimla, Kufri, Narkhanda Region and entering KINNAUR region

After Solan, I then planned to go to Manali and start proceeding further.. Usually the highway take you via Shimla but locals suggested me to go via Sabatu.. And as tradition says - in my trip I always listen to locals.. :)

On my way to Kuniyar my bike's tyre got second puncture and I was pissed but then a man came by and been an angel for that situation.. Roshan was driving his way to Solan and saw me standing with my bike with no idea of - How will I rescue this situation? :( then he helped in taking off the tyre and insisted to drive me to nearest mechanic shop.. there I got my puncture fixed and then he drove me all the way back to my motorbike.. :) During this time he enlightened me with actual Himachal places which I wasnt aware of ... So, I fixed my tyre to my motorbike and this is what going to be my itinerary :)

Solan -> Shimla -> Kufri -> Rampur -> Karcham -> Sangna -> Chitkul -> Rekong Peo -> Kalpa -> Poo -> Nako -> Samdho -> Kaza  -> Kunjum Pass -> Rohtang Pass -> Manali -> Kullu -> Dharamshala -> Pathankot -> Jammu & Kashmir :) :)

Isnt it unbelievable! :)

Also, Kinnaur is a region which contains places from Karcham to Samdho .. and after that Spati region starts which includes Kaza and ends at Losar.. 

As said, I changed my plan instantly and then chose to head towards Shimla - capital of Himachal Pradesh.,.. :) As said - I was driving all across the valleys and the best thing is - its good learning of Banking of Tracks.. :) It is just not about making roads on the mountain but it is all about engineering them.. :)

Finally, I was about to reach Shimla - I was late although I started early in morning but my bike got punctured 2 times hence got late.. :)

First glimpse of Shimla.. :) It feels like - Mountain of Concrete..  :)

Oh Yes - It is like Mountain of Concrete.. :) I keep staring at the view for couple of minutes since it was absolutely MESS to me.. but no - once you get into the city., it has sooo many tiny branches of small roads going out from main road.. :)

And there I faced the worst traffic ever seen till date.. As I stepped into the city gates - there was heavy traffic from both the sides.. traffic of Tourists.. none should plan to visit Shimla in this season.. the traffic started from the Entry gate of Shimla till Exit gate.. I am not exaggerating.. it was like 6 to 7 Km of traffic jam .. that tooooo on Valley and being on bike I was just finding my ways between the vehicles and finally get through the city.... woooshhh !!! that time only I made my mind that I will not be staying in Shimla.. then I asked the local and they told that there is Kufri which is 20 something Km away from Shimla and pretty less traffic there.. So the plan was made..

In night, Mountain of Concrete illuminates and that looks goood.. :)

It was very dark and one should not drive in night in valley .. its really not so safe.. although its cool :P

My faced was covered with smoke and good food, room service and hot shower really made me slapp-av (relaxed) :)

In morning when I opened the window of my room - this is what I have seen! :) Awesome view of valley and cold air amused my mood.. :)

I thought of having a small walk across the village and it was cozy.. I was said to eat Vegetable Maggi Noodles and so I did.. It is must to have it here.. :)

I chose to start my ride to next destination Sangna which has intermediate stops - Rampur, Tapri and Karcham ..

I stopped at this road-side vendor and asked "May I taste all what you have - Please!"  :) and it was Yes.. :) :)

And then i entered Narkhanda region .. :)

Road was awesome..

 And then I had my first glance of Satluj river.. It starts from Mansarovar in China and till the Kinnaur region would end I will be biking by the side of this river.. many other small rivers merge in Satluj,, :)

Now its the complete biosphere I am experiencing.. :)

Here comes the Rampur City .. Here I had the servicing of my motorbike.. :)

The flow of water was pretty fast .. It was ferocious at times.. 

And now it was time to experience bad roads.. but just for sometime..

The valley became grand and grand as I was going far ...

And the waterfall ... Aww! that was what I was missing..

And when I had first glance of Snow on the mountain - I stopped my motorbike and just sat there.. It reminds me of my times in Norway.. it was just soothing and emotional.. Many memories flashed in couple of moments..

And then I entered Kinnaur :)

Now the roads turned bad.. rocky... and not healthy for my bike.. but I was prepared since worst is yet to come.. :)

And finalllyyyy I reached Karcham...  :)

I spend my night at a village called Tapri.. all surrounded by Mountains .. and was destined to explore Sangna, Chitkul and other villages on my way there.. :) :)

Chitkul is a village where civialians are last allowed since its a Indo-Tibet Border :) .. I have already been at Pakistan's border when I was in Kutch ... well not actually border but the place where the civilians can go through.. :P I am excited.. :)
