All About Kanyakumari & Tamil Nadu :)

Finally got a view of 3 oceans meeting from the window of my room, I chose to leave Kanyakumari and take North-South Corridor (National Highway connection Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir to Kanyakumari) ..

The weather was swinging in the moods of rain and so am I .. Time to cruise.. :)

Mountains on my way.. :)
And I was going to Madurai.. Dont know why.. but now Madurai is my first destination.. :)

Best was this way across a hill range.. classy!

And suddenly, it all turned dark and Clouds were all in a mood to make it all wet.. :)

So I took this break and enjoyed rains since my visibility absolutely hindered for driving.. ;)

And finally I reached Madurai - a place famous for Meenaxi temple.. realllllllyyyy beautiful peace of architecture.. since camera is not allowed so I couldnt tell what is there inside this huge gate.. :)

So - had my stay in a good hotel.. had exclusive Tamil cuisines and then relaxed my bones for the next day.. Suddenly from nowhere I just made my mind to go to Bangalore - say goodbye to my friends there - Priya, Anant, Neha and others.. :) Some 480km..

And I promised my friend Chinna that I will meet his daughter and wife in his hometown which is 40km before Bangalore.. served with great delicacy and then I said goodbye and time to reach destination before it get dark .. :)

Updated all my backlog of blogs from Bangalore.. also relaxed alot and finallllyyyy I left Karnataka atleast with my motorbike for my this Joy-Ride.. :) I am going to Chennai now.. :)

On my way I saw this mountain which has the mark that you can see.. :) It is a mark for the Hindu God.. but can you classify a river or a mountain or a state or a country into any religion... ??? :P

On  my way found Ambur - a place which is known to me for STAR BIRYANI .. the most famous among the locals, in the state and also have been in media for its variety of Biryani..  :) They also supply Biryanis to  Indian Railways :)

Actually from Bangalore I have taken this Golden Rectangle Highway .. National Highway which is connecting 4 metropolitan of India.. Delhi -> Mumbai -> Chennai -> Kolkata ... the best ever experience till date.. 4 and 6 lane highways.. and people also behave while crusing.. :)

\

And I covered this distance of 340km in 5 hours 30 minutres with breaks and pause on my way.. :)

Finally reached Chennai, stayed at my dearest Himanshu's place - he is working here and stays with his wife Natasha.. cute couple and yes had lots of chit-chat and I made plan to spend one more day with them.. Himanshu took off from his working day and wished to show me a nearby scenic place - Mahabalipooram.. So next day, both of us raised early morning and left to explore the beauty around... :)
Crocodile Park was closed and really wished to see it - Damn Monday!

 Go-carting on our way..

Mahabalipooram is also famous for its Stone Work and any lover of Sculptures would love to spend more time with the artisans here.. :)

Archaelogical Surveys of India has also considered the monuments here as of national importance.. :)

We have been to 5 Rathas..

Famous elephant architecture.. I took it from the back and Himanshu prefered from the front - Picture sweethearts! :)
 And awesome Sea-shore temple view..

Then it was time to go for swimming in a nearby beach.. ;)

Finally we had lunch at local restaurant and chose to came back home i.e. Chennai .. On my all my way or I should say in Tamil Nadu I have had this experience.. its heavily influenced by politics and politicians.. In my own experience.. I have seen banners of leaders in say every 30 meters 1 banner in Chennai atleast.. and there was a entire road block and police security for 15Km (1 policeman in every 200meters) was arranged since a leader was passing through it.. it was really tough to digest and see that if a leader of the State feels so unsafe then what about the normal public?? No more comments on it - we are the people and we are paying for our deeds.. Wisdom in Silence..

And Natasha got free from her work, we pick her up from home and after taking some rest we planned of dining in a cozy restaurant known for its Pasta and Lasagne :)

Lovely couple chose to cruise on my Enfield and flew on their romantic long drive and I came home and chose to prepare for my this blog.. Finally I got my pace back of writing.. It is 2 months now - I am out from my home and biking and roaming across India... all alone many times and I love it from the bottom of my deeeeep heart.. :)

Will be leaving tomorrow to Andhra Pradesh - going to be my last state to cover in South India..

I have had a vision which I made today.. I want to reach Delhi from Chennai all by Golden Rectangle Highway.. I guess it would be somewhere near 3500Km and that too in 12 days.. since after that my friend Richard is coming from Norway and I am again taking a vacation in my vacation with him for 15 days., :)

  3. Chennai-Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor (CKIC) — a Rs 6,448 cr project proposed by the State Highways — will become a reality in a few years. The 640 km CKIC will link 14 industrial corridors across the 23 districts in State.
