So - it was Goodbye and then I headed to pick Narain from his village which was on my way since he requested me drop him till BHUJ.. it was interesting to be there and pretty much kind of him to ask for tea and showing me his community homes.. :) Narain also taught me how his family make coal.. he said firstly they collect the heap of wood cut in the way its seen in picture then its covered with cloth made of loose threads and on the top they cover it with soil.. and then from a corner they make the space and burn the wood from inside and once it takes the flame then the cover the open slit and after 2 3 days - coal is ready.. interesting! :)
So - I picked him and we started our journey to BHUJ - my first stop on my way to Jamnagar .. thats how I thought but No - Narain has another plan.. he wanted me to taste a famous sweet which is made in their region called MAVA .. it is like 35 litres of milk boiled with lots of Sugar in it to make 9kgs of MAVA.. it was Yummmmmyyyy and seeing my heavenly expression on face, the owner of shop invited me to see its making.. and come-on being a passionate cook, nothing in the world can stop me to see it... :D
Then I dropped Narain at Bhuj and started my journey to Jamnagar... And seen many interesting things in between.. well things are usually normal but seeing it different makes it different.. I believe so atleast.. :P
Heavily loaded truck and just chained a small tiny vehicle passing through and both are at pretty decent speed.. shit may happen ,,,,,,
Few chose the rails and I chose the roads to explore the places.. atleast I can go in interiors and I can stop wherever I want.. :)
Really Male Chauvinistic statement by the system - I observed there were more Women than Men .. I believe it should be rephrased to "Work in Progress" ;)
Back to Salt growing place - Maliya
Even Sheeps take the National Highway// :)
And on the way found another Enfield rider hence I must stop to pay my respect.. 1997 model - mine's ancestral ;)
And a scenic traditional touch.. :) Tribal woman migrating from one place to another - keeping their remote homely set up on camels..
and have-not seen Lotus from so long time.. and finally found in a lake near a temple.. it is considered very pious in Hindu religion..
Few more enfield lovers,, :) they are everywhere or if they are not then Enfield teach them What is Love :)
One more interesting view.. this model dressed like humans is usually seen in the farms just to flew away birds to save the grains.. :P
And time for some bird-view clicks.. :)
Loved the below formation alot.. this is called Migration of Birds and when I shared this experience with people in Jamnagar they told me that there is a bird sanctuary in Jamnagar and they might be coming to there since its usually the season when they expect birds to come.. wow!!!
And this place is where they make bricks for homes, buildings and other major set-ups.. and I realised - they themselves stay in the homes of mud..
Now, I was very near to Jamnagar and took a break to have some tea and chit-chat with locals to know about what-abouts of the city and my sight stick to this interesting sign-board.. just mean in actuality to give way to the vehicles coming behind.. but when I took this picture with the background of sky something that came in my mind was spirituality and a lesson of life.. :) Had a couple of interpretations in mind like - "Hey God (if any) - Give Way" ... Hey Anuj - Give Way to those Who Seek or Need it in Life" ,,,,,,, finally "Give Way to Vehicles coming from the back :D :D"
Endelig (Finally in English) I wrapped up my journey of 330Km and reached Jamnagar where I stayed at the place of my family friend Mr. Ajay Jain with his family and had a great eve chatting and eating delicious Desi (word used for 'of India OR Indian') fooooood.. :)
Day 7 is religious trip .. although I am not at all the one and I have my no beliefs in it and other caste systems but still I love to visit holy places since I wish God Must Exist & Show Up in a real sense to clarify, guide and correct whatever shit has happened in his name, to fulfil the faith of those who follow him blindly... I planned to go to Dwarka - the city of Lord Krishna called by various names by his lovers like Dwarkadhish (King of Dwarka city), Thakur Jee, Kanhaiya and many many more AND also to Nageshwar to visit temple of Lord Shiva - majorly to collect the soil of this holy places for my theist family - that will make them smile .. :)
Hahaha... Didn't quite get the "Men at work - Walk slow" sign. After all how fast is it possible to walk :-)
ReplyDeletethe clay huts was interesting. Was that tribes people or just poor people?
Your trip really is so interesting. How do you meet all these people?
Hilsen Terje :-)
No they are not poor - but they are satisfied and choose to live in tribes and stick to basics.. :)
DeleteI found these people just after changing my eye-balls :) actually that let me see things differently.. ;)
